"The Fault in Our Stars" Thursday Night!

The Library will be showing "The Fault in Our Stars" Thursday night, September 25th, at 6:15 PM (yes, that's tomorrow night!).

Based on John Green's popular novel, the movie stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. It is rated PG-13 and runs 126 minutes.

The movie is FREE. Bring your friends, and bring your own snacks and covered beverages.

First Prize Drawing is This Friday!

The first drawing in the Teen Summer Reading Program is this Friday, June 20th. We are giving away gift cards and free books!

Get your entry forms in at the adult reference desk.

If you have not already signed up for the teen program, you can join the more than 40 who have so far. Remember, our grand prize is a Kindle Paperwhite!

And don't forget that we are starting up a book club for teens who enjoy science fiction and fantasy stories. Come to our first meeting on Tuesday, June 24th at 2:30 PM in the youth program room.

SF/Fantasy Book Club

Do you enjoy books like "The Hunger Games," "Divergent," or "Graceling?"

The library is looking to start a book group for teen science fiction and fantasy fans.

Come to the first meeting on Tuesday, June 24th at 2:15PM in the youth program room. Refreshments will be served. Bring along a favorite book to share with the group.

Teen Summer Reading Program

"Spark a Reaction" at the library this summer! Registration for the 2014 Teen Summer Reading Program begins on Monday, June 9th. The program is open to ages 12-18. Sign up at the Adult Reference Desk on the second floor of the library. Weekly prize drawings will begin on Friday, June 20th. We will also have pass packets to local attractions. The program runs through August 2nd, with a grand prize to be drawn on Monday, August 4th. Our grand prize this year is a Kindle Paperwhite!

So come in and check out some great summer reading!

Movie: "Thor: The Dark World"

In addition to our special Saturday showing of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," we will have our regular Teen Movie on Thursday, March 13th, at 6:30 PM. Come and see "Thor: The Dark World" (PG-13, 112 minutes) starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Natalie Portman. You may bring your own snacks and covered beverages. FREE admission! Thursday movie: "The Mortal Instruments; City of Bones"

Our Teen Movie for February is "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," based on the best-selling series by Cassandra Clare. It will be shown starting at 6:15 PM this Thursday, February 6th, in the library meeting room. The film is rated PG-13, and stars Lily Collins, Lena Headey, and Jamie Campbell Bower.
