Book Review: Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance by Emily Franklin and Brendan Halpin

Charlie Tracker and Aaron Littleton (stage name: Fielding Withers) are the stars of the hit TV show Jenna & Jonah's How to Be a Rock Star. It's hard enough to pretend to be in love on stage, but the show's producers have pushed Charlie and Aaron to be a couple off stage as well, and at this point in their careers, they can hardly stand each other.

So it comes as somewhat of a relief when Aaron is the subject of a Hollywood rumor -- one that is serious enough to cancel their TV show and send both actors into hiding for a time -- until the paparazzi catch up to them once more. They can only really escape by joining the cast of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in a small Oregon theater camp.

Written in alternative points of view, this is a breezy read, somewhat predictable perhaps, but it does get inside the heads of both characters quite nicely and also has some great insights into what it means to truly become a good actor.
