Hunger Games Book Discussion

The Menomonee Falls Public Library will hold a book discussion of The Hunger Games on Tuesday, March 13th, starting at 7:00 PM. The program will take place in the Meeting Room on the first floor of the library. All are welcome to attend! And remember that the movie opens on Friday, March 23rd.

Michael L. Printz Award Winners Announced

The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) has recently announced the winners of the Michael L. Printz Awards for young adult literature.

The winner is Where Things Come Back by John Corey Whaley.

Four honor books were also chosen. They are Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler, The Returning by Christine Hinwood, Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey, and The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.

Our teen collection owns Where Things Come Back, Jasper Jones, and The Scorpio Races. We have just ordered When We Broke Up and will soon order The Returning.

Teen Gaming Nights

Do you enjoy playing board games like Risk or Monopoly? Come to one of our teen gaming nights at the library! Gaming nights will be held the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Youth Program Room.

Dates include: January 17, February 21, March 20, April 17, and May 15. Open to ages 12-18. No advanced registration is required. Questions? Call Kifflie Scott, Teen Librarian, at 532-8910.
